App: Contacts: Phone Dialer & Phone Effective date: September 15, 2026

In Short

Contacts: Phone Dialer & Phone (the "App") is a dialer and contact manager. It keeps your contacts tidy, places and receives calls, records your call history, shows who is calling, and screens out numbers you do not want. Your contacts and your call history are handled on the phone itself, never sold, and never handed to advertisers. The full account follows, written by the App's developer ("we", "us", "our"). Installing or using the App signals acceptance of it.

1. Information the App Handles

Depending on the permissions granted, the App works with:

  • Contact entries — names and numbers kept on the phone, which fill the contact list and let an incoming number be matched to a person.
  • Call records — the device call log and the numbers of calls placed and received, which build the history screen and support caller identification.
  • Numbers you block or report — retained alongside a device identifier so filtering keeps functioning.
  • Technical signals — phone make and model, Android version, App build, language, device identifiers, aggregate counts of feature use, and crash or diagnostic output.

Contact entries and call records are processed on the device. They are not sold, and they reach no outside party beyond what this policy sets out.

2. Permissions, and What Each One Is For

Permission What it enables
Contacts (read and write) Viewing, adding, editing, and arranging the contact list
Phone — CALL_PHONE, READ_PHONE_STATE Placing calls and recognising an active call
Call Log Producing the call history and recent-calls screens
Notifications Announcing incoming calls and blocked-call activity

Each is requested only when the feature needing it is used. Android's settings allow any of them to be revoked; the matching feature then pauses until it is granted again.

3. What the Information Is Used For

Exactly this and nothing else: operating contact management, dialling, call history, caller identification, and blocking; keeping the spam filter working; maintaining stability and fixing crashes; measuring aggregate usage to guide improvements; displaying advertising to users on the free tier; and activating and restoring subscriptions. Personal information is never sold or rented.

4. Advertising on the Free Tier

Users without a subscription see advertising supplied by outside networks, Google AdMob among them. Those networks may read the device's advertising identifier and comparable technical signals to select which advertisement appears, personalised where the law allows. Android's settings let that identifier be reset or deleted and personalisation switched off whenever you wish. For as long as a subscription is active, the App shows no advertising.

Google's own account of how it uses data in advertising is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Subscription Payments

The optional subscription removes advertising and opens the App's premium features. Payment runs from beginning to end through the Google Play billing system — card numbers and billing details are handled by Google under Google's privacy policy and never arrive with us. We receive only an anonymous purchase token, used for nothing beyond switching the subscription on and restoring it after a reinstall or a change of phone. Purchase records are kept only as long as tax and accounting law requires.

6. Services Built Into the App

Each of the following carries its own privacy policy, which we suggest reading:

  • Google Play Services
  • Firebase — analytics and crash reporting
  • Google AdMob — advertising
  • Google Play billing — subscription payments

We do not direct how these providers handle data.

7. Safeguarding Information

Reasonable technical and organisational protections cover whatever the App processes. Even so, since no method of electronic storage or transmission is perfectly secure, absolute security cannot be promised.

8. What Stays Under Your Control

Permissions can be granted or withdrawn in Android's settings; contacts edited or deleted; call history emptied; blocked numbers released; ad personalisation disabled; and the App removed entirely — uninstalling clears its local data from the phone.

9. Children

The App is not aimed at anyone under 13, or under 16 where regional law fixes that age, and personal information is not knowingly collected from children. Anything received in error is deleted once identified. A subscription taken out by a minor is valid only with a parent's or guardian's prior agreement, and enabling purchase authentication in Google Play stops charges from completing on a child's phone without adult approval. Parents and guardians with concerns may write to the address below.

10. Regional Privacy Rights

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the law grants rights of access, correction, erasure, and restriction over personal data, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority. Residents of a number of United States jurisdictions hold similar entitlements, including opting out of any sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. A message to the address below suffices to exercise any of these.

11. Erasing Your Data

No account is needed to use the App. Contacts, call history, and block lists live on the phone and disappear when deleted in the App or when the App is uninstalled. To have anything we hold erased, write to us; the request will be handled within a reasonable period.

12. Updates to This Policy

Amendments may be made over time. The version in force, with its effective date, is always the one shown on this page, and continued use after an amendment indicates acceptance of it.
